Describing the final hours of her life, Silvestri told officers his friends said she had drunkenly crawled into bed beside him uninvited and had performed several sex acts.
When he woke later to find her still in his bed, he said he pushed her on to the cabin floor and went back to sleep.
In his version of events, he claims he and his friends even tried to save her life, taking her pulse before carrying her to the shower, then dressing her and calling a doctor.
He revealed cruise staff told them they were "15 minutes too late".
The audio tape of the cold-hearted interview aboard the P&O cruise ship in September 2002, will be played to a coronial inquest into Mrs Brimble's death today – the first time a direct statement from any of the eight men have been heard.
Deputy State Coroner Jacqueline Milledge warned the court in advance, describing it to family members who might not have read the transcript as "cruel at times" and "very severe".
The inquest has heard allegations Mrs Brimble was drugged with the date-rape substance Fantasy, also known as GHB, as she partied on the first night of the cruise – a trip for which she had saved for two years to take with her young daughter.
Silvestri claims it was Mrs Brimble who, in the early hours of September 23, 2002, approached his group of friends in the nightclub aboard the ship.
"I said hello, then . . . like, yeah, get over it . . . get out of here," Silvestri said.
"Anything that's over 60 kilos I don't talk to. I thought she was desperate, like I saw her in the nightclub and I thought, 'F . . ., she is smashed' and she was pretty flirty."
Silvestri then said he "brushed her off" because he "didn't want to speak to her".
In the wide-ranging interview with two detectives, Silvestri also claims he helped his travel-buddy Mark Wilhelm try to revive Mrs Brimble, who he thought "still had a pulse" when he woke up.
Mr Wilhelm called the nurses some time after but she could not be revived.
Then aged 38, Silvestri told police he had earlier left the disco alone and went back to the cabin, where he took three sleeping tablets.
He claims he woke hours later to find the naked woman asleep beside him.
"I was told (by my friends) that she was fondling and playing and all the rest of it . . . apparently she helped herself to me," he said.
When asked how far that process went, he replied they had "oral sex".
Friends and family of Mrs Brimble have previously told the inquest she was "prudish" and would not have engaged in such activity with a man she had just met.
Silvestri described how Mrs Brimble ended up crumpled on the floor.
"I tried to encourage her to f. . . .in' get out the door, leave, see you later, bye, you know," he said.
"You know, it was 'Excuse me, lady, what dog catcher left you here?'."
Silvestri recalled clumsy efforts to try to revive her, including carrying her naked and unconscious to the shower.
He said she had been frothing at the mouth as Mr Wilhelm tried to perform mouth-to-mouth resuscitation before calling the doctor.
The inquest had previously heard that Mr Wilhelm had consensual sex with Mrs Brimble and photos of the acts were tendered to the court.
Silvestri also talked about his drug use, claiming he used Viagra, as well as diazepam, valium and sleeping tablets.
At the end of the interview, Mr Silvestri was asked if there was anything else he wished to say about the matter.
"Yeah. I want a big apology from everybody out there. Just like, all the passengers."
