I've taken other drugs that have been pulled off the shelves -- Vioxx and Bextra. Now I'm won...

Asthma drug warning causes alarm...

Ever since the arthritis drugs Vioxx and Bextra were taken off the market, it seems as if the Food and Drug Administration has been more cautious. Several months ago an expert panel considered whether the asthma drugs Advair, Foradil and Serevent also should be withdrawn from the market. There was concern that some people taking these medications might experience hard-to-treat asthma attacks. login or register to post comments | read more

Saggy pants lead to alleged robber's arrest...

It wasn't a smoking gun that led police to believe they had their man following an armed robbery at the Pahrump Stop convenience store and gas station at Highway 160 and Mesquite Avenue - it was the distinctive Hawaiian-print underwear the suspect wore in the commission of the crime.

According to Deputy Mark Cannon, deputies responded to the store at around 9:45 p.m. Monday after the cle...

IMPORTING TROUBLE...

International agreements are usually sacred; they have to be followed. If they are violated, the violating country loses credibility and may find it difficult to have other dealings with the international community. But many times, nations have to protect self-interest and balance the detrimental effects of the agreements as against following them to the letter.

Even the most developed co...

Drugs might help young Bichon deal with car sickness...

Your instincts are right about not feeding her prior to travel. She is still young, and her motion sickness may resolve with time and frequent trips. This is not a guarantee.

Pets that become ill during car travel may respond to some pharmaceuticals. Dimenhydrinate (Dramamine) is an antihistamine used primarily for motion sickness. Acepromazine Maleate has a mild tranquilizing affect and ...
